"Bright red-ruby. Superripe aromas of musky raspberry, strawberry, mocha and nutmeg, with a whiff of rhubarb adding complexity; I would have placed this on the Chambolle/Morey border. Silky on entry, then broad and sweet in the middle, with superb texture and fleshiness for New Zealand Pinot. But the intense red and darker berry flavors are sappy and youthful. A wine of impressive size and breadth, finishing with dusty, sweet tannins and slow-building persistence."
