soil roots. It is ripe and plumy, with intriguing notes of anise and
brown spice, and the structure to age five years or more from the
"Deep ruby. Spicy cherry and licorice aromas, with a pungent note of tobacco. Peppery, slow-to-open dark berry and bitter cherry flavors are given lift and bite by tangy acidity. Finishes tight and linear, with sneaky tannins and hints of bitter chocolate and vanilla. Not especially expressive right now; maybe a little bottle age will help this wine to loosen up."
