Four Winds is another site that we lease and the improvements this vineyard have shown are pretty remarkable. This vineyard typically has a much different flavor than many of our other wines. The wine tends towards wild berries, blackberries, bramble and even a little bit of leather and wet earth. The wine is dense and very plush with some fine, soft tannins toward the back of the wine. The wine, even by our 2000 vintage standards, is very dark in color and the hue is echoed in the flavors. This tends to be a Pinot for folks who really enjoy darker styled wines.
