This wine has aromas of black cherry, plum and black pepper, with hints of leather and oak spice. The lush flavors on the palate are of black fruits, smoke and chocolate, complemented by supple tannins. This is the perfect full-bodied wine for summer barbecues, blue cheeses, and blackened anything.
"This is classic Parducci Petite Sirah, a near-perfect example of the variety. Dry and robust, yet smooth, it has complex flavors of wild blackberries, blueberries, molasses, dark chocolate, bacon and peppery spices. With beautiful balance, its a great value."
I enjoyed this. It's a deep ruby in the glass, with aromas of berries and spice. A fairly strong body, with a warm peppery finish and nice tannic dryness. The only thing I miss a little is the blackberry and cherry is a bit weaker tasting than I would have expected, but overall it was robust dry red without any real deficits. I'd call it an 88-89.
Nice bouquet but body a bit watery and plain. Peppery finish. Decent for the price.
