Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Hand-crafted from grapes grown in California, the 2011 PARIPASO Chardonnay is where Paris and Paso Robles meet to combine the best of both continents in a wine that is refreshing and brimming with fresh fruit flavors of citrus, pear, honey, and a hint of butterscotch and toasted almonds.

Refreshing on its own, with enough complexity and body to make this wine an elegant accompa-niment to a wide variety of foods . Suggestions include dishes with poultry or seafood, like lobster or scallops. It can even go well with a light red meat dish. Good cheeses include Gruyere, Provolone, and Brie.
