Quite dense plum and dark cherry fruit aromas dominate with underlying hints of anise and fruit pastille. This vintage has produced a much more savory, elegant style of Merlot. Still showing the characteristic suppleness and mid palate weight generosity that we expect from Merlot, this wine also has a savory edge which makes it a perfect accompaniment with food. Although tightly structured, the finish is soft with lingering berry fruit flavors.
