A great Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from the Pelligrini Families renowned Olivet Lane Estate Vineyard. Wonderful flavors of cherry cola, currant, licorice, mint, and spicy herbs. Aromas of black cherry, spice, mint, and violets volitize into a beautiful bouquet. Nicely balanced medium bodied wine with a long finish. One of my favorite California Pinots from the 1998 vintage at a bargain price! Great to drink now with room to improve through 2002 if you have the willpower to save a few. Pair with a veal rib chop with wild mushrooms or flash seared pepper crusted Ahi tuna for the perfect match.
