Winemaker's Notes

Aged in oak for 14 months. 42% in new French oak barrels, 22% in new American oak barrels and 36% in two year old barrels. Bottling This wine has not been filtered or stabilized.

The deep, dark color of this wine is inviting. Rich aromas of dried figs, red currants, blueberries, black cherries and lychee lead the way, with lingering notes of chocolate, leather, olives and ink. This refined Cabernet Sauvignon offers a balanced and elegant palate, with plentiful, smooth tannins and touches of vanilla. The long and complex finish is harmonic, with refreshing acidity.

Critical Acclaim

"Great wine and great value, too. The nose is a blend of floral, graphite and cassis aromas, while the firm and rugged palate is packed with sweet, friendly cookie, chocolate, coffee and berry flavors. If the tannins seem a little aggressive now, time should come to the rescue. Otherwise, there’s very little to pick at and a lot more to praise."
