The Nicolas Feuillatte 1998 Blanc de Blanc is a unique expression of Champagne, a 100% Chardonnay Cuvée, pale gold in color, with sumptuous aromas and ﬂavors of green apple, dried ﬁgs, honeysuckle and a fresh, bright ﬁnish.

"Beautiful bouquet of fresh baked bread, brioche and apple. Great flavor on entry with a meld of creamy lemon, spicy citrus and perfectly integrated lime-soaked acidity. Tart, spicy close that rings with lemon and grapefruit."

I'm very surprised at the rave reviews for this one. I'll admit that it was a bit more fresh of flavor than most, which was pleasant - but this wasn't bubbly at all, it didn't even QUITE sparkle, and I like a champagne to have some bubble to it. This didn't have enough bubble to push at the cork, we had a terrible time getting the cork to move...and a champagne cork should POP! Not something I'll be looking for again, I'm afraid.
