winemaker's notes:
The 2005 vintage was one of longest and coolest growing seasons in recent
memory, resulting in crisp, balanced wines with dense, well-developed
flavors. Aromas of tropical fruit, white flowers and ripe pears lead to a
vibrant, mouth-filling fruit basket of fuji apple, melon, and pineapple
flavors with just a hint of vanilla from a light finesse of oak. The finish is
lingering and refreshing.
The balance of this wine, with its lush fruit, bright acidity and
even-handed oak, make it a versatile, food-friendly choice. Try it with
seafood salads, creamy pastas or risottos, or roasted poultry or pork with
fruit-based sauces.
