The wine has a fine, clear colour with cherry highlights and an expansive, rich bouquet, displaying gamey, animal aromas and a hint of smoke. The attack is round and smooth, with roasted, toasty notes over supple, already well-integrated tannins. The finish lingers elegantly in a well-balanced blend of flavours.

This is surprisingly good for the price. Not as full-bodied as a Merlot, or Pinot Noir, but well balanced. Bouquet is fresh fruit, not musty. Acids and tannins are noticable, but not pronounced. Worth having on hand for casual drinking, or for those whose palates are just beginning to venture into wines.
