Winemaker's Notes

Sourced from vineyards in the Arroyo Seco area of Monterey, these Chardonnay grapes exhibit bright acidity and depth of fruit, thanks largely to very little oak use. The wine has delicious citrus and apple aromas making it a wonderfully balanced, fresh Chardonnay.

Critical Acclaim

"This is a delicious Chardonnay, but more than that, it's very nearly as good as the winery's classic Estate bottling, which costs more than twice as much. Shows real Chard character, a rich, creamy, dry wine with explosive flavors of pineapples, pears and peaches that tastes like they were baked into creme brulee. "
92 Points

"Ripe, opulent and fleshy, with sweet pear, apple and melon fruit that's clean and refreshing, keeping the focus and emphasis on the fruitiness. Drink now through 2011. 1,400 cases made."

I am very surprised this wine received two ratings in the 90s. Even at its cheap price tag, I would not buy this wine again. It tastes like a cheap bottle of white wine.
