Intensely ruby-red in color with supple aromas of ripe black cherry and blackberry, followed by spicy notes of charcoal, vanilla and black pepper. On the palate, bursting flavors of ripe fruit and exotic spice are balanced by pleasant acidity and silky tannins.
Delicious with roasted meats, eggplant parmigiana, pasta, grilled pork chops and veal casseroles.
A bargain for the wine you get for the $. Just open early or decant and enjoy the unique taste of Sicily's nero d'avola grape! Not your typical Italian chianti type of wine.
I dunno maybe it is just me but I am sure taking a decided liking to the wines of Italy..this one is a bit dif. but I've enjoyed it w/food and without and found it quite nice. Yet another case of I wish I'd bought more
I don't know if I received a bad bottle, or if this wine is truly as horrible as I think it is, but I don't know what the other review of this wine is talking about. This wine was not drinkable.
