Montes Alpha M is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. A powerful wine with very good level of soft and rounded tannins. Intense dark red color. The wine is elegant and has a very well defined character. The Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. There is an pleasant and harmonious marriage of fruit and the French oak. The structure of this wine will keep it for at least 20 years. On the palate, it is perfectly balanced, full-bodied and superbly voluptuous on the mid-palate with a rewarding, lingering after taste of mature grapes and acidity that reflects its superb structure.
"This is concentrated and stout on the nose, with roasted black-fruit aromas bolstered by coconut, tobacco and cool-earth accents. The palate is thick, rich and layered with black fruit extract and tannin, bearing flavors of dark plum, baked blackberry, savory spice and BBQ sauce. It's smooth, deep and long on the finish, with notes of coffee, vanilla and mocha. A monster wine with class. Drink now through 2018. Editors' Choice."

This could help explain why the climate changes more from east to west than north to south - also why the country has remained phylloxera free....Read More About Chile
