The best champagne. We discovered it about 6 years ago (ironically thanks to a little gracious Salvadoran fellow working at the wine shop) and have it at every gathering of family and friends. Everyone loves it. What a special treat.
The winemaking team at Moet & Chandon has always held a distinctive belief: Guide nature, do not force it. This enduring philosophy (as well as undisclosed blending secrets) allows them to transform the unique features of the Champagne region, its grapes, soils, and microclimates, into the world's most famous celebration wine. The Nectar's appearance is deep gold, with a nose reminiscent of toasted brioche and raisins. A divine, aromatic concentration of dried fruits and a silky, almost creamy texture on the palate lead into a flowery, honeyed, subtle finish. Pair it with a pan-seared foie gras in a white peach sauce. Chart as of July 2000
