The best champagne. We discovered it about 6 years ago (ironically thanks to a little gracious Salvadoran fellow working at the wine shop) and have it at every gathering of family and friends. Everyone loves it. What a special treat.
wine.com Notes
The winemaking team at Moet & Chandon has always held a distinctive belief: Guide nature, do not force it. This enduring philosophy (as well as undisclosed blending secrets) allows them to transform the unique features of the Champagne region, its grapes, soils, and microclimates, into the world's most famous celebration wine. The Nectar's appearance is deep gold, with a nose reminiscent of toasted brioche and raisins. A divine, aromatic concentration of dried fruits and a silky, almost creamy texture on the palate lead into a flowery, honeyed, subtle finish. Pair it with a pan-seared foie gras in a white peach sauce. Chart as of July 2000

I received a bottle from my sister in Manhattan, NY, 2 weeks ago for my 40th birthday. It is wonderful. I have had Dom and I prefer this to any champagne I have had thus far in my life.
A Customer - Chicago,Illinois
I loved this selection!!! I became an instant fan. This is a "must have" in my house.

My first time I was pleasantly surprised-- now six bottles later I am still impressed. A very solid buy regardless of its miniscule faults.
A Customer - Southern California
Fantastic taste and nose. Don't let the other review run you off. We have served at least a dozen bottles and have never heard a harse word spoken about "the Nectar". In fact, many have become instant Nectar fans. I encourage every champagne fan to simply try a bottle for themselves. You may find a passion. I did.

A good friend brought this champagne for a New year's Eve party and I can tell you how delighted I was, what a wonderful tasting champagne!!! I enjoyed every sip of this very fine champagne. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is very picky about their champagne.
A Customer - menlo park, ca
I'll just say "bottle of bliss" and leave it at that. Had never seen it before, may never see it again, but elated that I encountered it once. (My sweetie thought so too.) If you like very dry, this probably isn't the choice of choice, but if that's not your fixation, then try to enjoy this champagne at least once.
A Customer - California Central Coast
Has the color of a Holland pilsner ale.
Has the taste of fig, hyacinthe,
English suger cookies; with a hint of coal, granite, and flax.
It stays on the tongue for awhile, not bad 4 minutes later.
I have seen allot better from M & C, but then again I have had worse White Star.
If somebody gives it to you, use it to celebrate his birthday, and serve it soley to him whilst you drink a lighter 1973 M & C.
