Moet & Chandon Brut Vintage 1999
Vintage

winemaker's notes:
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VINTAGE
In 1999, a mild winter encouraged early bud break and vegetative growth, while hot temperatures in May led to early flowering and good fruit set. June and July saw periods of rain and hail mixed with fine growing weather, but after veraison, the weather was hot and dry. These drought conditions were relieved just prior to harvest with a bit of rain, helping the grapes to ripen to perfection. Harvest began on September 15th under good conditions, and grapes were harvested with good ripeness and moderate acidity.
