Miner Stagecoach Vineyard Merlot 2000

This Merlot is our first wine to come from the highly sought after Stagecoach Vineyard high above the eastern hills of the valley. Carved out of rocky, red volcanic soil similar to the soil up at Oakville Ranch, this vineyard gives us the rich characteristics of mountain fruit. 1999 produced an exceptional wine with inviting earth and tobacco tones along with flavors of blackberry , currant and cocoa. Nicely balanced on the palate with a lingering finish of sweet oak and fruit.
