Miguel Torres Cordillera 2001
Red Wine
from Chile, South America
winemaker's notes:
Intense dark ruby colour, with hints of purple and mahogany on the edges. Warm and dense aroma reminiscent of spices and forests. The elegant palate has silky tannins and notes of fruit (blueberry and blackcurrant jams) over a background of rich vegetal and spicy tones (clove, tobacco, pepper). Barrel ageing has added touches of vanilla and smoke. The varietal character of the old Cariñena vines is outstanding in the long and intense aftertaste.
Wine and Food
Perfect with pâtés, roast duck, rice dishes with meat, cold cuts, roast or braised beef, vegetable stews and casseroles or lamb.

Smell of casis and blackberry also taste berry fruit with very pleasing, not overly tanic finish.
