winemaker's notes:
This wine was aged in mostly new French oak chateau barrels and was bottled unfiltered. A blend of our best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it is opulently structured and very dark." (Steve Test, director of winemaking)

We were sent a bottle of this wine as a gift, and I love it! I tend towards reds with some body but not too bold, and I like 'em smooth, and this one was delicious. I'm no wine expert, but I can certainly appreciate a good bottle.
A Customer - State of Washington
Sampled in a blind tasting of seven other high end wines from the same area (Phelps Insignia, Opus, Caymus, Dominus, Pahlmeyer, Quintessa,) this was my favorite. Moderately dense and well balanced with a nice finish. With no obvious flaws and because it was the least expensive wine in the group, it is the only one that earned its premium. Open a few hours before serving. Its style makes it a good gift for someone who might drink it young. From the group I also liked the Phelps Insignia Propiretary Red.
