Gentle rolling slopes and vibrant red soil accentuate this vineyard's unique rich berry character. The site was planted in 1978 and named for the fencing that surrounds the vineyard protecting the luscious berries from wild boar. A pre-fermentation cold soak captured the bright fruit qualities and further offers deep tannins, and a spicy bouquet with undertones of black cherry.
