This is a deep purple red color Syrah. Intense varietal aromas of violets, bacon, black fruits, pepper and menthol. The aromas are complemented by notes of chocolate and spices from the oak. It is balanced in the mouth with good body and complexity; it has a long and fresh finish.
Ideally served with red meats, duck and mature or smoked
"The 2007 Syrah Corralillo offers an alluring perfume of lavender, blueberry, bacon, game, and garrigue. Sweet, ripe and complex already, it will continue to blossom with another 4-6 years of cellaring and will drink well through 2027."

Earthy & Spicy
still maturing in the bottle...a little rough at first, but when decanted, the flovors eveolve after a while...worth cellaring for a couple years.
While the wine is smooth, it left a bitter, asphalt taste which I found very unpleasant. I am going to cellar this for the remainder of the bottles for a few years.
