Deep bright red color with purple edges. Ripe, fresh fruit and raisined fruit equally prominent on the nose combined with sweet spices, especially vanilla and cinnamon. Ample and complex on the palate, but well rounded and very easy to drink at the same time. The aftertaste has ripe fruit, cherry and bilberry flavors on the finish with hints of vanilla. Good length on the finish.
A very versatile wine. Perfect with many different kinds of food such as pasta with rich sauces (based on meat or mushrooms), grilled or roasted red meats, game and mature cheeses.
"Deep ruby. Red fruits, chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Rich and suave in the mouth, with ripe red fruit and chocolate flavors that are ample but lack a little complexity. Finishes smooth and moderately long. The word brolo is equivalent to the French clos (a walled vineyard); this wine is made from a special selection of the best grapes available, all native and mainly corvina. "
