This 2005 Shiraz shows generous and concentrated fruit with its flavors of dense dark chocolate, licorice, and spice. 100% barrel fermented in new and 1 year old American oak and barrel matured for 12 months. It has silky, smooth tannins and shows creamy developed characters and is overwhelmingly, mouthfillingly delicious.

Very fruity, rich, and so dark it's almost brownish-purple, this wine goes great with dark chocolate. We had it with Valrhona 71% cocoa. I'm guessing it handles steak well, too.
This wine is fruity and smooth. Really a great shiraz. Even my husband, who doesn't usually like reds, likes this one. Try the Marquis Philips Shiraz 9 as a special treat if you like this wine!
This wine is very drinkable, but doesn't really stand out in any area. It doesn't have the depth of flavors of a very good Shiraz/Syrah. For the special price, it isn't a bad deal, but at $20, there are much better out there.

My wife and I absolutely love this wine and the Sarah's Blend. It has some of the fullest flavors I have ever tasted in a wine. And for the price of around $15-$17, you really can't beat it. I have recommended Marquis Philips to many friends.

This wine is amazing for the money. Classic Australian inky dark with loads of cherry and leather. Will not disapoint. Good with filet or roast lamb.
