The 2008 vintage conditions were similar in both of the growing regions. A mild start to the summer, with average to low temperatures perfect for Riesling. The was little rain resulting in dryer than normal conditions and the vineyards had minimum water allocations. The heat wave in March came after the harvest of the Riesling, so there was sufficient water for the grapes to be harvested and fermented with their natural acidity.
Pale straw in color with green hues. Aromas of cut grass, fresh lemons and grapefruit. The palate explodes with traditional Riesling flavors of lemon juice, pineapple and some sweetness providing a long and lingering finish.
