winemaker's notes:
The 2000 Marques de Arienzo Crianza is made in a fresh and lively fruit-forward style showcasing deep cherry color with currant and vanilla spice flavors. An elegant layering of fruit, leather and American oak keeps the acidity in perfect balance.
Food Pairing
Enjoy with red meats, fish or cheese tapas. A favorite at your next summer barbecue.

When first opening this wine, I smelled it and thought, "Oh, no another harsh tasting wine." But once tasting, it was very surprising. This wine was #1 smooth #2 non-bitter tasing.
The only other wine I have tasted, that is this good, is "Principato" from The Olive Garden.
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!

Very good wine..well balanced. I tasted a tint of pepper in the wine. I missed the currant and vanilla

Tends toward new world style, but with old world flavors. Nicely structured, with nose of dark fruit, indistinct floral notes, but primarily leather, particularly on day two. Nice lingering finish with well integrated and smooth tannins.
