Enticing aromas of rich cherry pie, raspberry preserves and ripe plums with barrel notes of exotic vanilla, golden molasses and shortbread cookie. Oak aging rounds out the palate and gives the wine its body. Juicy fruit on the palate tasting of dark red raspberry, jammy strawberry and baked peaches. Our 2007 drinks in juicy fresh berry flavors that stay bright and linger. The finish is full of bright red fruit flavors with a supple texture.
THis is the second time we have had this wine and will not be the last.
This wine was highly recommended to me by someone that I didn't know(he was buying a case). I usually buy wines in the $10-15 range. I caught it on sale for$9.39. Anyway, this is the best Pinot Noir I ever had. Smooth and flavorful just as the label suggests. I have served to friends and family and always get comments an how good this wine is. Great for just about any meal or occasion. Try it you will not be disappointed.
Tried this wine because it ranked #1 out of 52 wines in "The Wine Trials" New World Reds under $15. Vintage in the book was 2005, but the 2007 didn't disappoint. Excellent cherry and vanilla aromas. Taste included cherry, strawberry, and spice and it had a smooth finish. Would buy again and recommend to others.
This is a great wine for the $$$$- clean fruit, spice, smooth- lovely everyday wine-
Soft & mildly fruity cherry aroma & flavor with a mid-dry taste. Not as much taste or character as the Echelon, Meridian or Gallo.
This wine was OK for the price, but I would not recommend to anyone. I will look for something better in this price range.
