This third release from our Doña Margarita Vineyard displays engaging aromas of raspberry, forest floor and mocha, which are associated with the classic wines of Burgundy. On the palate it is silky and elegant, with layers of complexity that follow through in the finish. The oak, in harmony with the fruit, adds nuances of spice. The tannins are firm but supple and the wine will continue to develop for many years.
"A brilliant Pinot Noir, grown organically from the winery’s new vineyard in a cool part of the coastal mountains. More tannic and acidic than Pinots from the estate vineyard in Green Valley, it offers lush, deep flavors of cherries, black raspberries, gingersnap cookies and almond biscotti. Just terrific, and will take a few years of bottle age in a cool cellar."
