Marimar Estate Don Miguel Vineyard Pinot Noir 2002
Pinot Noir
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
Nestled in the rolling hills of western Sonoma County, the Russian River/Green Valley appellation is a perfect microclimate for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Only 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean and 50 miles north of San Francisco, the site is influenced by the sea's cooling breezes and drifting fog. That is why Marimar Torres selected this privileged location to "export" the Torres family legacy of fine wines to California.
April 2003 marked the conversion to all organic farming methods at Marimar Estate's 60-acre Don Miguel Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, the exclusive fruit source for the Estate's Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

I absolutely love Pinot Noir's and was so impressed with this one. I'd had others from the Russian River Valley so ventured a try on Marimar. It has heavenly deep cherry tones, a lovely light/medium body and legs for DAYS! Pair it with succulent beef or game and you're senses will be in overload. I have a new favorite in Marimar. Try it...you'll love it.

Amazing Pinot Noir from Green Valley! She captures the essence of Pinot Noir from Grape to Glass. A must for Pinot Noir lovers. I highly reccomend this!!
