The name MICANTE comes from a verb "micare" that means to brighten often employed by the nineteenth century poet Gabriele D'Annunzio in his works.
Dark, intense ruby red color. On the nose, it has flavors of mint, spices and ripe red fruits. On the palate, it is pleasant, round with soft persistant tannins. 80% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
