winemaker's notes:

100% Tempranillo from 40 year old vines." Dark purple color. Roasted aromas of coffee beans, blackberry, fig newtons, and tobacco. Smooth entry, with"loads of blackberry pie flavors and a creamy texture. Full, soft tannins and good acids balance this out to make a very satisfying, rich wine.

Tart strawberries, with a thin to medium body. Marvelous with lighter pastas.

I found this Spanish red to be a wonderful daily splash. A nice medium body with great fruit but not over powering. I paired it with a tuna red sauce pasta and a chicken dish. The bottle art does this good wine no justice. I consider this import a real steal priced under $10.00. You will have no regrets.
