Less outsized than the Costa Grimaldi but compellingly silky on the palate; sweet, shapely and sharply delineated but youthfully closed today. Finishes very long, with terrific cut. An elegant, lucid style of Barolo from sandy soil. This bottling has been consistently outstanding in recent years."
