Louis Roederer Brut Rose 2000
Rosé
from Champagne, France
winemaker's notes:
"Lots of oak char notes yield to scents of apricot, sliced apple, honey, beer and flint, all of which are deftly integrated and lightly toasted. Supple, ripe flavors of cherry, apple, strawberry jam, flint and honey. Plenty of apple and chalk in the endless close."

Tasting Notes: The rosé has a shiny, slightly deep golden salmon color, with a light, yet abundant foam consisting of fine, long-lived bubbles. The generous and complex nose reveals candied fruits such as Morello cherry.
Food pairing: The Brut Vintage Rosé pairs well with fish, such as salmon, meats like lamb, veal, and pheasant, or soft cheeses. It also complements slightly sweet desserts with fresh red fruit, like sabayon sauce.
