The wine is a bright yellow-gold with a deep and rich color due to a dominating proportion of Pinot Noir. The nose is intense with ripe and stewed fruits reminiscent of baked and caramelized apples. There is a hint of soft floral and honeyed aromas with a touch of lightly toasted almonds. The palate is generous, sophisticated and silky with flavors of fresh fruit complemented by a subtle vinosity. The richness and structure of the 1996 vintage are beautifully balanced by good acidity producing a wine with character, finesse and elegance.
