Golden, bright and iridescent. Fine, regular bubbles with a well-defined flow. Sparkling, almost varietal bouquet, redolent of Chardonnay and white fruit aromas of apple, pear and pollen and soft, sweet citrus fruit like grapefruit. These are followed by the warm, chocolaty hints, vanilla, tatin pie, and baked apple which are typical of our Maison. The bite in the mouth is extremely elegant, balanced and mineral, characterized by the purity, precision and mineral quality of the Côte des Blancs terroirs, along with a delicate creamy, almost cozy texture. The texture and concentration of the 2005 vintage wraps itself around the purity typical of whites, making it sumptuously indulgent. The very long winey finish is sublimed by a perfectly-balanced, enduring acidity. The maturity of this vintage is an added asset for this Blanc de Blancs 2005 which pleasantly – almost disconcertingly – combines purity, texture and freshness to produce a refined, gourmet wine.
"That's great, you might think when you put your nose in this glass. The range of sweet and savory scents follow through on their promise like mist rising off limestone. The bubbles seem to plump up the flavors of Asian pear, lemon pith and zest and lightly toasted sourdough baguette. Or, to be less specific, this is bright, fine, floral and mouthwatering. Essential chardonnay."

"A deceptively soft Champagne. The initial attack is rounded with a delicious pear flavor, but definitely soft. Then tight mineral acidity adds its presence, producing a wine that is also very fresh, apple crisp, with a potential for aging and a long lingering aftertaste."
