The commune of Savigny les Beaune is located above between Aloxe Corton and Pernand Vergelesses, in the north of the Côte de Beaune. "La Dominode", easterly exposed, lies to the far south end of the commune, bordering the Beaune vineyards. Soils are gravely producing more elegant wines. Maison Louis Jadot produces a fresh, frank, vivacious wine of considerable charm, with bright, red berry fruit and fragrant refined bouquet.
"All silk and refinement, this red packs red cherry, currant and mineral notes. There's tension, and the tannins are present and resonant now, but this should come together with a little time. Best from 2011 through 2018. 200 cases imported."
