Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages 2002
Gamay
from Burgundy, France
winemaker's notes:
Intensely fragrant and crisp, Beaujolais-Villages Jadot is a vivacious, succulent wine of exceptional charm full of bright, floral fruit flavors underscored by youthful, peppery notes and plump tannins. Delicious slightly chilled, its lively freshness is best appreciated when young. To enhance the quality of the wine, Jadot also practices a ""réplis,"" whereby wines from various crus of Beaujolais are declassified and added to the blend, constituting up to forty percent of the final cuvée in some vintages. Though costly, this measure yields a wine of superior structure, depth and complexity.
