Perhaps the fullest Ladybug Red yet. It is deeply colored, softly textured, and extremely fruity in flavor, tasting of blackberry and plum with overtones of cocoa, pepper and oak. Delicious now or over the next twelve - eighteen months. Ladybug Red Cuvée V is a blend of Zinfandel, Carignane, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes are organically grown on head trained 50 year old vines on 4x14 spacing dry farmed. Cover crops and leaf pulling are practiced to promote optimal vineyard conditions. Ladybugs - not chemicals - are used to combat pests.
