The aromas of the Lindstrom 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon display an intensity of very focused red berry essences (raspberry, red cassis, cranberry), which are so focused that they almost seem perfume-like. These berry notes intermingle with darker, more earth-driven notes of bay leaf, cedar bark, and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, the entry shows a combination of warm raspberries and a hint of sage/tarragon. The texture at entry is broad, soft and warm, and the mouthfeel at the mid-palate stays consistently broad. Although the flavors present themselves boldly, the wine weight and texture show elegances so beautifully displayed in the aromas, with the bright, focused sweet red fruit flavors lingering as the other wine flavors slowly fade.
"The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has a slightly denser, fuller personality, with a deep ruby/purple color, a classic nose of spring flowers and cedar wood, and a touch of toasty oak interwoven with black cherry and black currant fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, shows velvety opulence and has a long finish. It should drink well for 15+ years. "

"Full-blown, dense and concentrated, with tiers of blackberry, wild berry, plum and licorice, this persistent red has a long, tightening finish. Pure and perhaps a bit richer and extracted than prior years. Best from 2012 through 2022. 395 cases made."
"Bright medium ruby. Lively, refined aromas of minerals, crushed rock and flowers. Less dense than the 2007 but supple and sweet, with an enticingly juicy quality to the perfumed flavor of crushed raspberry. Very nicely balanced cabernet, finishing tight but with powdery tannins and subtle length-and not dry.
