Winemaker's Notes

The colour is bright straw yellow with hints of lime green.

The immediate impact of the aroma is intense and smokey, but as the wine opens in the glass gorgeous scents of flowers, pears and spice arise, promising great power after some bottle maturation.

The palate picks up on the spicy fruit note and is powerful and mouthfilling, even now showing great balance between the fruit flavours and acids with a gentle hint of French oak lengthening and intensifying the finish. Pear and hazelnuts are the predominant finishing and lingering flavours.

A year of low yields, great balance and exceptional wines for us across the board.
