winemaker's notes:

The Vinas Viejas is the big brother to the regular Garnacha. Made from 100% old vine Garnacha (a minimum of 45 year old), grown in non-irrigated vineyards, the Vinas Viejas is polished, elegant and layered with soft lush fruit. Aged in American oak (60%) and French oak barrels (40%) it has a complexity and flavor profile unheard of at this price point.

A Customer - Singapore
I have imported this delicious wine to Singapore under a different label, Baltasar V.V. The ripe black fruit cakes, with hint of dirt flavour characters resemble so much of a classic Southern Rhone, predominate Grenache. Giving sometime and reduction, this wine tastes even more opulent, rich and seductive and the beauty is, it's retailing only less US$12.00, what a steal.
