Estate grown, produced and bottled, our 2006 Lancaster Cabernet has lush ripeness with plums, rich black cherry and cassis characters and sweet, spicy aromas of clove, nutmeg, and vanilla. Finely textured tannins and layers of complexity extend over the long finish. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, this wine was bottled unfiltered.
"A very fine Cabernet. Not quite in the league of the ’04 and ’05, but rich and complex, a wine to drink now and over the next few years. Shows sweet tannins and accessible flavors of wild blackberries, currants, herbs and smoky cedar. "

"Black garnet hue with a fuchsia rim. Expressive scents of blackberry and plum with a spate of mixed wood aromas. Creamy, soft texture with flavors of red and black licorice. Lasting finish with chalky, fine-grain tannins and drying mineral notes."

"The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate includes small quantities of Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Revealing a deep ruby/purple color, a big, intense, masculine mouthfeel, and plenty of power and tannin, it needs time to round into an accessible wine, but it shows good balance, structure, and purity.
