winemaker's notes:
Rosé wine with a
bright pomegranate color. The nose is
clean and fresh with aromas of toffee
and red currant marmalade. The
mouth is fresh, juicy and well-balanced.
This versatile wine is extremely enjoyable
on its own or with a wide variety of
dishes.
Blend: 75% Grenache, 15% Cinsualt, 10% Syrah, 0% Cork

This wine was a nice change from the white wine's the club of the month usually sends out. It is was and will be one of the summer's best pick's.

Do not confuse this fantastic summer find as your neurotic ex-girlfriend's cheap white zin. La Vieille Ferme Rose offers a dry complexity that would make even the most discriminating rose hater turn to the "pink side". Refreshing light overtones with a body, to say in words, kind of reminds me of a luscious berry cobbler (without the sweetness of course)...it's fruit and caramel, with a tang. What's so amazing is that it does offer all of that, and them some, but is still surprisingly refreshing even when just slightly chilled. Do yourself a favor and chew this one with a goat cheese, walnut, and endive salad or match it with BBQ chicken. Don't serve it really cold...you'll miss out. Definitely my top pick and twice as nice for this price.
