This is heaven in a bottle. We first discovered this wine ( now my partners favorite Chardonnay) in a tasting room in Sonoma. Searching for a "buttery" Chardonnay and overdone by oak, we were delighted to find the 97 La Crema and we have been converts ever since. The 2000 is full rich and buttery, with just enough lemon, melon and pear to make this wine a leader in it's class.
Enjoy on a warm day, outdoors with local bread and goat cheese. Also holds up well to mildly spicy foods.
