L'Ecole 41 Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2000
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Walla Walla Valley, Washington
winemaker's notes:
Hedonistic Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington, get this recently rated gem while you can. The spicy aromas from this wine exude cassis and cinnamon with loads of dark berry fruit and currants extending through the finish.
81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc. This wine is a blend of three Walla Walla Valley vineyards: 45% Seven Hills Vineyard, 38% Windrow, and 17% Pepper Bridge Vineyards
"L'ecole hits the mark with its Walla Walla Cab. It may not be vineyard designated, but who cares whn it's so ripe, rich and complex? Tightly reined in around the edge, it focuses the coffee-scented blackberry currant, cherry and chocolate flavors into a bright beam that lasts and lasts on the generous, spicy finish. Drink now through 2010."
