Winemaker's Notes

Nose of bright red fruit, coffee/mocha, and spice. Cherry and darker fruits (plum) on palate, with oak undertones and bright acidity. Round and very pleasant. Clean finish with smooth tannins.

"Kunin's 2005 Syrah Santa Barbara exhibits a dark ruby/purple color as well as a fleshy, succulent style displaying loads of black currant, raspberry, smoke, camphor, and licorice characteristics. A hint of road tar also emerges as teh wine sits in the glass. Drink it over the next 5-7 years." 90 Points,
Wine Advocate
August 2007

"Smooth and silky, with distinct huckleberry, boysenberry and mocha notes. Full-bodied and seductive, ending with a tight focus and a long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2014." 90 Points,
Wine Spectator

The home base of Syrah is the Northern Rhone, where it creates the exclusive wines of Hermitage and Cote Rotie. On the less pricy side, the Rhone makes Syrah-based wines in Crozes...
