The 2006 Kunde Family Estate Zinfandel is one sneaky character. It starts out as a well-mannered and elegant claret-styled wine, but the spicy flavors seem to grow in your glass. The beautiful berry aromas follow up and keep on coming. Pork tenderloin with a spicy rub would be just the match for this beauty—well-mannered but a little bit wild. Watch out - you might find the bottle disappearing somehow!

Watch out - you might find the bottle disappearing somehow! Spicy and balanced, a great Zin, but just when you think you have this one figured out, it's gone. Opens up more with each glass. One bottle is definitely not enough, get one for yourself and one to share.

We opened this bottle and it smelled like an old boot. The bottle had obviously turned and tasted like watered down vinegar.

Dark fruits are quick to the pallet and come on strong. The fruit lingers for only a moment before a hint of vanilla quickly followed by bold flavors of pepper and spice which tingle the tongue and seem to last forever. Long finish with a noticable alcohol aftertaste.
