I first tasted this wonderful wine in Lake Tahoe in February of 2005. I was on a ski trip with friends and we had several bottles over dinner at a great restaurant, "Evans". The wine complimented the excellent 5 course meal we had that evening. I have referred Kunde to all of my friends and family as a must have in the collections. It is definitely a wine you can enjoy everyday.

Initially, I am a bit disapointed in this wine. It seems closed, and the finish is overly acidic, burying any complexity that might be in the finish. BUT, due to an impromptu wine tasting, I did not decant. It improved slightly as the glass went on so I am hopeful the second bottle will benefit from an hour or so of decanting.

Deep and rich, with plush tannins. Well rounded. Excellent, especially for the price!

Innovategolf is correct that this one needs time to breathe, but then becomes an excellent, full, flavorful wine. Definitely recommended.

It is standard to decant any full-bodied, broad shoulder wine. This is a great wine for the price point.
