The 2009 vintage of this wine was ranked #1 on the Wine Spectator's Top 10 Wines of 2011
The 2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir exhibits dark black and blue fruits that drive down the center of your palate and slowly melt into all areas of the mouth. There is focused acidity and tannic grip that carry the rich dark fruit character towards the midpalate, followed by creamy black cherry, dark plum and dried currants. There is intensity to this wine that is followed by a slow release of complex flavors and textures, leading to a long and lingering finish.
"Offers a firm, generous mix of dried berry, mineral, cedar and sage, with touches of wilted rose, raspberry and cranberry, ending with fine, detailed tannins. Drink now through 2022. 4,940 cases made. "

"Vivid ruby-red. Sexy, perfumed bouquet displays dark berries, cola, smoky herbs and rose oil. Fleshy, expansive blackberry and bitter cherry flavors deliver a suave blend of richness and energy, picking up a hint of anise with air. Finishes juicy and penetrating, with an array of musky spice qualities and slow-building tannins. This wine deserves some patience.Rating: 91(+?)"
