Kenwood Red Table Wine 2005
Red Wine
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
A blend of 36% Merlot, 23% Petite Sirah, 11% Carignane, 11% Zinfandel, 7% Barbera, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Syrah and 3% Sangiovese.
Using the cuvée winemaking method, each vineyard
lot is kept separate throughout fermentation and
aging. This enhances the individual flavors of each vineyard. After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 18 months.
Enjoy the full, fruit flavors of Kenwood's Red Table Wine with chicken, pasta, veal and pork dishes.
"There's great value in this dry, full-bodied red wine. The winery hasn't revealed what varieties it's blended with, but it shows nobility in the firm tannins, fine structure and deep flavors of blackberries, currants, chocolate, herbs and tobacco, finished with sweet oak." 87 Points,
