Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve Chardonnay 2003
Chardonnay
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
"The 2003 Grand Reserve Chardonnay, which is accessed from Sonoma, Santa Barbara, and Monterey, sees about 30% new French oak, enjoys 100% malolactic in barrel, and is aged sur-lies. This gorgeous Chardonnay displays vanilla cream, white peach, lemon butter, and popcorn-like characteristics. Medium to full-bodied, with good underlying acidity, an alluring texture, and tremendous purity, it is a fine value.

Rich fruit, layered complexity and seamless elegance are the hallmarks of our Grand Reserve Chardonnay. Integrated cream, vanilla, spice and toasty oak complement concentrated layers of tropical fruit, pear, apple and citrus. Excellent balance and rounded texture contribute uncommon grace to the full flavors and lingering finish. Ideal as an aperitif or with seafood, chicken and light, creamy pastas.

I had my first tasting experience with Kendall Jackson white wine yesterday, and it was absolutely delightful! Very smooth going down with a nice texture for taste. I would recommend Kendall Jackson for a dinner wine, or to just have by itself. It can certainly stand alone and do just wonderfully!

In my opinion the best chardonay in it's class. Well worth the added expense of the KJ vinters reserve chardonay. Definately a must try.
